Who is the audience you’re trying to target? What tools do you have at your disposal? Where do you want to be in 6 months? Why do you want that snazzy special feature?
It all begins with asking questions and who/what/where/why is a good place to start!
I’ve found that if you can ask the right questions, you’ll be on the right track towards helping someone out. So what does that mean for you?
I can help you in the following ways…
What does this stuff cost?
It depends. Every client is different and varied situations call for pricing that is specifically tailored to a client’s needs. What I can say is that I am available in a variety of ways to suit your specific needs. Most client situations fall into one of the following categories:
- Retainer. Either for an extended period of time or a shorter-term 3-6 month period of time. A retainer is beneficial for both parties because it both ensures that I’m available when you need me and allows you (and me) to budget from month to month even if the amount of work ebbs and flows. It also keeps everyone honest; like your gym membership, if you’re paying for something, you’re more apt to use it, and that’s good for everyone!
- Per project. If you have a specific upcoming launch or short-term project, I am available for working with clients on a project basis. Payment for something like this can generally be split up into smaller chunks to accommodate your situation.
- Hourly. Most clients don’t go for this because it’s the least cost effective. There are benefits to going with a flat fee for a given scope of work on retainer or a project, so I typically recommend against doing everything hourly, but there’s a situation for every type of arrangement.
- Half-day and full-day rates. This is generally geared towards photography, but could certainly also include a situation where you need training on something and I can come in and spend a portion of a day working with you and/or your team.
If you don’t feel what you’re looking for falls into any of the above categories, don’t fret. Reach out to me and we can chat about customizing something for you!
